Summary:

As an IT Specialist – Level 3 (System Administrator / IT Transformation Specialist), you will be responsible for delivering advanced technical support and leading IT infrastructure projects across multiple client environments. This role combines hands-on system administration with cloud transformation initiatives, ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and aligned with evolving business needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Client Support & System Administration:
Provide remote and on-site technical support, managing hardware, software, and network systems to ensure optimal availability, performance, and reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently across diverse environments.

Infrastructure Management & Optimization:
Administer and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and endpoints. Continuously assess and optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability.

Cloud Services & Transformation:
Support and implement cloud-based solutions, particularly within Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments. Lead or assist with initiatives such as:

  • Autopilot deployments (hybrid/cloud-joined)
  • Intune configuration and policy management
  • Application packaging and deployment
  • On-premises to cloud migrations (phased approach)
  • Windows 365 / Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) implementations
  • File migrations to SharePoint or Azure file storage

Virtualization & Networking:
Manage and support virtualization platforms (VMware and/or Hyper-V) and network infrastructure including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, switches, and routers.

Documentation & Process Improvement:
Create and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, procedures, and project implementations. Contribute to process improvements and standardization.

System Upgrades & Maintenance:
Participate in system upgrades, patch management, and lifecycle maintenance to ensure systems remain secure and up to date.

Collaboration & Project Delivery:
Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality IT solutions. Contribute to project planning and execution to ensure successful outcomes.

Continuous Learning:
Stay informed on emerging technologies, tools, and industry best practices to enhance service delivery and technical capabilities.

Minimum Requirements:

Experience:

  • 4–7 years of experience in system administration, preferably within a managed services (MSP) environment

Education:

  • Diploma (DEC) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft environments (Windows OS, Microsoft 365)
  • Experience with Azure cloud services
  • Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
  • Experience with computer hardware and peripherals

Languages:

  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English
