Job Title: Lab Technician
Contract: December 2026 (strong possibility of extension)
Location: Roswell, GA (On-Site)
40-hour work week (no overtime)
Pay: $20-22/hr

About the Role
You'll play a hands-on role in a laboratory environment, performing testing and quality analysis on finished substrates including non-woven and consumer products. Working from approved standard test methods, you'll help ensure accurate, well-documented results that support the broader research team. You'll report to the Lab Supervisor while being trusted to work independently with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Testing & Quality Assurance
Safely handle and test finished substrates using approved standard test methods
Perform basic quality assurance analysis on provided samples
Deliver clear, accurate test results to researchers
Documentation & Compliance
Thoroughly document results in compliance with site requirements
Follow all laboratory work instructions and flag potential updates or improvements when relevant
Adhere to all safety, conduct, and attendance guidelines
Equipment & Lab Support
Support the calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment
Participate in test method development, validation, and competitive testing pilots
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent, plus 1–3 years of relevant laboratory experience
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to frequent change
High degree of initiative; able to self-coordinate, collaborate with others, and make sound recommendations
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
Experience with MTS Criterion Tensile frame instrumentation and MTS Test Suites software strongly preferred
Physical requirements: ability to stand and walk frequently, reach, bend, and squat throughout the day, lift up to 35 lbs, and use small hand tools
